The story of "Ang Nawawala" narrates the story of a 20-year old guy who is named Gibson who stopped talking because he was traumatized when he saw his twin brother died in front of him, and also spent his life traveling is now trying to start a new life in Manila with his family. Then at that night, an old friend who is Teddy came by and asked him to go with him to an art gallery while a band is playing. Then teddy as a master of all "mister swabe" did his thing, trying to get the attention of a girl named Enid. But I think Enid wasn't impressed, teddy introduced Gibson to her and she was shocked that Gibson does not talk but was interested with each other for their love of music.
Enid and Gibson both know that they have the same feelings for each other. But eventually, Enid left Gibson because she still likes her ex-boyfriend. New year is just minutes away, Gibson went to his mother's room but he saw his mom sleeping, while staring at her mom he started crying .

I liked this film because it reflected the problem in our
environment, specifically, pollution. It is a serious problem since the city is
affecting the province and sadly it just gets worse. It is really an existing problem in the Philippines,
and only little actions are being executed.
This film showed the poverty of
some Filipinos, as some would go as low as selling their bodies to earn money
or stealing a phone and end up going to jail. These acts were very courageous but also
very desperate. Also, the film informs the audience not just about prostitution but also about having multiple sex partners as it can inherit incurable diseases such as Herpes. The power of friendship was also reflected in the film, since the group of friends were always together through good and bad times, and the
power to change for the common good also, specifically when one of the group of
friends became a preacher and served God.
The theme of the story was okay, as it was a combination of drama, comedy and romance. It has some scenes though that are not suitable for the young audiences and requires an open mind to those who are of older audience. The plot was clear, although requires a specific understanding and a mature, also open mind to comprehend some of the scenes that can happen also not just in the low class but also in the higher class so as not to judge them. Main and supporting characters had their roles clear and showed importance each. The setting was good as it can relate to the problem of pollution in the waters, how the wastes and trash can cross from city to province and how it affects the lives of those who are living there. Overall, this film was also a good one! - MANONGTONG, Grace S. I really liked the film. The film was not just comedic but also it was very descriptive, the fact it showed the brutality of the police who should serve and protect their countrymen, and how they do their job and sarcastically a “job well done” and wow they do admit it. In the ending, the camera even focused on the mission and vision of the police and the sticker on the door where President Noynoy Aquino had a caption of “Kayo ang boss ko!” or something like that, it showed that the president may not be aware of these happenings and how corrupt the police are or are they really? But there were two things that came to mind while making this review, either the intention of the director was to educate us, or to clear our minds that not all police are like that since we do not actually see the real deal with the police and those that happened in the film may just be word of mouth and are not true. Surely it had the power to capture the audience’s attention and applaud. It was really an eye opener. The film showed the respect for the Philippine national anthem and the Philippine flag, as the casts stood tall with palms on their chests, and finished the anthem, it reflects them being a true Filipino. The film also showed a social problem in society which is poverty, how the lower society would go through just to get money, even for a good cause, they would still do bad means, and how the higher society should be more careful when going along places that are highly notorious. The film reflected the good heart of a Filipino, when the main character has her cellphone snatched and agreed to cancel the trial as to have her phone back, but contrast to that, it also reflected the laziness of a Filipino, how one wouldn’t undergo such many hearings which is such a hassle, and rather have it the easy way and just forget about it. The camerawork was a bit off as it was overly shaking in one or two of the scenes. The location is good, specifically the stealing scene in Quiapo, as we all know that underpass is notorious because of acts such as what happened in the film. Overall, this film was a good one. It was a good Cinemalaya experience.

“Mga Mumunting Lihim”
(Jose Javier Reyes)
Review: “Ball-breaking bitch” is a strong line in the film that interprets a friend towards another. The story is about a long term friendship that is full of backstabbing, gossip, pride and lies that was revealed after the death of Mariel (Judy Ann Santos). Mariel leaves a special gift to Carla(Iza Calsado) that compose of diaries. Carla could not stop herself to be curious of what she wrote in the diary. It was composed of story , comments and emotions of their friendship lives. As pages turn by she realize and know what her Best friend thinks about her. Seeing those hurtful things from her long term friends make her have the confrontation of the other two women Sandra(Agot Isidro) and Olive( Janice De Belen). Asking questions about how true is the story that was left by Mariel. In then they know each others dark side and thought of another they started hating each other.Mr Jose Javier Reyes choose a good actors and actresses to this film . They are all perfect to the roles. The Director shows the reality of life in terms of friendship. Nevertheless the time you spend with each other but the truthfulness of one another. As others says your best friend might be your enemy. When it comes to this film, it is. They say something bad about behind their back. The story is great and shows there will still be a time the truth will come out. The truth might be the end of everything. The story was unique because it started with the end of something. Mariel died because of cancer by that, it start the conflict and the story itself in the film. Reaction: Reality and Truth sometimes hurt. You will just know your true friend if they say what they don’t like about you directly and you as a friend should accept who she really is. That is my perspective in friendship. Probably not everyone are the same, but this is mine. Friends never talk behind their back. They just do so because they couldn’t accept the fact their friend is like that. They couldn’t say straight to the face of the person. The movie shows every reality of friendship and what are friends are usually experiencing. Most of the adults probably relate to this. Barkada always have happy times, but never expect that they will never judge you. Because whether you like it or not in real world people judge you whoever you are. People tend to interpret things differently. In a group of friends we will never stop having those levelling, pride, naive, good, bad and etc but never treat them as a competition. In the movie they find everyone as a competition that is why the self esteem of the others decreases rather than increase because of friendships rivalry.

"The Animals"
(Gino M.Santos)
Review: The film is showing the sad reality of life. Happiness can turn to be a Disaster when you mismanage everything. It shows the down side of young teenagers this generation that abuses the liberty and freedom of their own. Party,Lies,Sex,Drugs, Alcohol, Fraternity, Betrayal and Pride are main streams of the events. Teenagers tends to lose control in the influence of the modern society . The Director Mr. Gino Santos give the unseen reality of teenage life that most of the parents do not expect from their children. The Animals is not only for teenagers but most are for the Parents that is not aware of the culture that their beloved children is experiencing.
Jake(Albie Casino) plays the role of happy go lucky guy and romantically attached with her girlfriend Tina (Dawn Balagot), but in the end because of the temptation and out of control Jake cheated with his girlfriend. There are also things that a person cannot control like of Trina (Dawn Balagot) is experiencing in this movie , she is a kleptomaniac. It is not that she intends to steal things but it is in her psychological problem. Lastly Alex(Patrick Sugui) the angsty brother of Trina that is force to join a Fraternity for his security. Lies are common for teenagers that tends to break the law of the adults.
All in all the movie is making everyone see the untold story of reality. I believe some of the parents is shocked after watching this film seeing the consequences that their children might encounter if they let their children “control” over them. The movie is daring that you can see betrayal of trusted person. The Film is an open ending I wish I will know the reactions towards what happened to Trina specially if everything turns that way. It will be better if the Director shows more at the end, like Trina’s family, Jakes, Trina’s friends reaction. Because It was actually Jakes fault why she commuted. Trina’s girl friends that was not able to answer her call when she needed help. You will never know when is your time, so better think twice, you will never know what might happen next.
Reaction:
I actually enjoy the movie. To be honest the movie is really REAL. I can even relate to the movie because I know everything in that movie is true. Everything in that movie is possible. Most of those scenes is already experienced by me. I witnessed most of it. Specially in an open party wherein I used to go is really similar. But then there are some things that I never expected that can happen. Like in the scene wherein the guy friend of Jake tries to put some drugs in Trina’s drink and took advantage of her. I was terrified in the reality that, yes, I might experienced those and it is not impossible these days. Commuting home at night, which yes I do as well is very dangerous I realize that you will never know if you are going to be a victim. But that movie really scares me. I even thought of what can I do if I was in Trina’s feet? I could not answer. It changed her life. And the life of the others as well specially with Jake, because he was the reason why she commuted that was supposedly it is Jake who is going to drop her off. I actually wanted to comment to the guys like Jake , why does guys cannot get contented with one girl, already caught on the act but still tries to deny it and even dare to say I’M SORRY or LET ME EXPLAIN if you just got busted. I realize a lot of things, you will never know when are you going to be dead, what people wants to do to you, and what people dared to do towards you. So be wise with your decision and take care every single time.
